International Conference & Festival For Youth-Led Climate Action

The POP Movement will conduct an International Conference & Festival for Youth-Led Climate Action in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico in August, 2019. 

We are very privileged to collaborate in this festival with several partners in Mexico as well as other parts of the world. The festival is being held at Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico and we will be privileged if you participate in this major event through which the youth of the world would take several initiatives and steps to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The conference and festival itself will be presented by the POP Movement in partnership with Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Centro Interdisciplinario de Investigaciones y Estudios sobre Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo (CIIEMAD), and Programa Delfin.

BUILDING A MOVEMENT
It is expected that several young people, indigenous and other communities, academics, practitioners, policy-makers, program specialists, and businesses from around the world will come together to showcase, celebrate, and share actions led by youth on the issue of climate change. Students will demonstrate climate action projects, the measurements they use to assess impact of their projects, and the impact of their actions in addressing one of the biggest challenges of our time – climate change. 

SHOWCASING AT THE WORLD SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FORUM
Teams will be recognized for their efforts and those that demonstrate exemplary action will be invited to showcase projects at the global, annual World Sustainable Development Forum, which will held in Monterrey, Mexico in October, 2019.
